![]() Map Resources Studio Series - Basic License AgreementMap Resources Basic License AgreementThis Agreement is made between Cartesia Software and the End User of Map Resources map images.Grant of RightsThis license grants you the non-exclusive right to use Map Resources images and any derivatives or copies on one computer with one user at a time. You are granted:1) Unrestricted use in any promotional or not-for-resale print or multimedia project such as brochures, ads, posters, kiosks, etc. 2) Use in any print or multimedia products produced for resale, if the number of copies to be produced is under 100,000, and the map(s) comprise less than 25% of the total content of the product. If more than 100,000 copies of a resale product will be sold, and the map(s) comprise more than 25% of the total product, an "Extended Use License" is required. 3) Use on websites, if the map(s) comprise less than 25% of the total content of the website. If the map(s) comprise more than 25% of the total content of the site, an "Extended Use License" is required. UsageThis license grants you the right to use, modify, and include Map Resources images as part of a total graphic design project for you, your client, or your employer. You may make a single copy of the images used in a project to give to a service bureau for output or to your client for their library. The client or service bureau is not granted any rights other than reproducing the original work.You may not sell, lease, loan, transfer, or distribute any copy of the software, except as stated above. Propietary RightsMap Resources map images, in whole or in part, are owned by Cartesia Software, and are protected by all copyright laws with all rights reserved. All intellectual and proprietary rights therein are and remain the property of Cartesia Software.TermThis Agreement is effective unless terminated. This Agreement will terminate if the End User fails to comply with any term or condition of this Agreement. Upon termination, the End User agrees to destroy all copies of the Map Resources map images.Limitations on Warranties and LiabilityAll implied warranties on this media, software, manual, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to thirty (30) days from the date of the original retail purchase of this product.Neither Cartesia Software nor any of its suppliers make any warranty or representation, either expressed or implied, with respect to the software described in this document, its quality, performance, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose. The software is sold "as is." The purchaser assumes the entire risk as to its quality and performance. In no event will Cartesia Software, or its suppliers be liable for direct, indirect, special, consequential, or incidental damages resulting from any defect in the software or manual, even if they have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In particular, they shall have no liability for any programs or data used with Cartesia Software products, including the cost of recovering or reproducing these programs or data. The warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No Cartesia Software employee, dealer, or agent is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state. MiscellaneousThis Agreement is the entire agreement between Cartesia and End User concerning the images. This Agreement may not and cannot be assigned or transferred to a Use other than stated above. This Agreement can only be modified by a properly signed written agreement. This License shall be governed by and construed under the laws of New Jersey. The prevailing party in any legal action to enforce this Agreement shall be entitled to reasonable attorney's fees and costs.| Return to License Information |
